As a Christian who follows public health guidelines because I believe that is what we can do to care for others around us--specifically in my case, elderly relatives with compromised immune systems--I am saddened to hear this attitude within Christian circles. I believe in both God's sovereignty and the fact that He gives us wisdom to do what is right, but of course it is still a tragedy when someone passes away because of COVID.
